The historic Beach House in Cedar Falls, Iowa sits next to the Cedar River.
It has been a place where families gather to enjoy the beauty and recreation on the river since the early 1920's.

On June 9, 2008 the walls caved in as the river flooded, and in subsequent days the river waters rose to over 14 feet above flood stage and ravaged the building, leaving only a roof and a few spots in the walls standing. This was a record flood for the Cedar Valley and Iowa, never seen before.

The building has hosted many weddings, receptions and family reunions. Quite a memorable site for many.

Much community support is needed to help save this historic city building for present and future families to enjoy.
